We love the lake.
Mostly.
The water is dirty.
The kids don't mind that as much as me.
It is very relaxing there.
When I get a minute to sit and enjoy it.
Mer keeps me on my toes.
This was her first experience with sand.
She wasn't too sure or happy about it at first.
So we parked ourselves under a massive shade tree
that stretched to the sandy area and she played on
a blanket and was happy.
Then she ate lots of snacks, including very crumbly crackers
while climbing all over me. yay, me.
^^^ proof.
After all that she took a nap.
Both days we went she napped right on the blanket for
an hour or more.
Good girl.
Me? I sat in a chair and did not move.
After her nap, she was more inclined to investigate
and /or tolerate the sand.
We stayed for 5 hours.
After that, I was ready.
They were not.
The water was freezing!
We are spoiled with a heated pool.
Emma ask, 'why don't we come here more often?'
We should.
Even if it's an after school trip.
We could do 2hours on a Tuesday and it
would be lovely.
Maybe we will.
