I made these with Mark's grandma probably 2 years ago and they are one of my favorite decorations.... I have them lined up on the entertainment center, but at the old house they looked super cute on the mantel.
It's 2 liter plastic bottles cut down to whatever size... then decorate...fill the bottom with sand for stability and add a tea light candle. They are gorgeous at night!

We made our family out of ghost...there's one for each of us...even a tiny one for the new baby! And we added one spider...but we will do more of those closer to Halloween.
