Here she is.
The playroom is all done.
Well, unless you count the smoke detector and the vents, and
one piece of trim to paint. Nah. we won't count those.
Yay! It's done!
The kids absolutely love it.
They go in there every chance they get.
It has taken the place of alot of t.v. time.
And that is a very good thing!
I wanted a space that my kids could run, jump, bounce,
climb, slide, flip, and swing! A place where they could get out lots of
energy and have fun. Somewhere that they would like bringing their friends to.
We have accomplished that.
We don't have any small toys in the playroom.
This room is strictly for large muscle movement!
The rope swing is their #1 favorite thing in here!
And it was one of the cheapest things we added to the room.
We chose to hang it in the middle of the room so the kids wouldn't be
bouncing off the walls with their feet.
I bought this large climbing toy on CL for $40.
Tanner loves it.
We knew we wanted to add a ball pit to the playroom.
I mean, what kid doesn't want a ball pit?
They are uber expensive, so we built this one!
Read the tutuorial HERE.
We are planning to add more balls and bring
back a slide that is at my MIL house so we
they can slide into the balls. FUN!
This baby was FREE!
And it works perfectly, stills sells online for $69.99.
I bought new pucks and paddles for $20.
I love free.
I haven't filled up the walls with pretties yet.
But I did put up some cute vinyl trees to hide some imperfect drywall lines.
Sorry these pictures are not great.
I should really try to do better.
We were all in there playing at the time I was taking these.
So I was just snapping before kids ran into the shot.
See Maddox crouching beside that trampoline up there.
We got a good deal on the trampoline at a discount store.
I found these frames for like .25cents each at a garage sale last year.
My plan is to add 14 more.
All in all we are very happy with this new space.
did all the work to turn what was our attic
Into this
What do you think?
Have a great day everyone!
I am off to pep rallies and egg hunts with Emma
then some shopping by.myself. (thank you mom!!)
and then a softball game. woo hoo! Go A's.
...this is our life
