Memphis Part 2

This is part 2 of our memories from the past weekend.
I was going to do that little click her for part one,
but just scroll down people. If you even care too. :)

Saturday in Memphis was lots of fun!
Emy and Phillip took us around town and to Mud Island.
First we took a trolley ride. First ever for my kids.
They loved it.

We visited Beale Street

While there we saw the Memphis Flippers.
A group of young guys that do flips down Beale Street for Tips.
They did some pretty amazing stuff and
two of them were really young. Maybe 7? 8 years old?

Emma wanted to give them a tip!
Maddox loved them. But he acted shy.
Actually he loved them so much that
they have now inspired him to also be a flipper!
(a white one)

He's been practicing.
Please send tips to in C/O Heather Metzgar. :)

Here's the boys...

Some other things we wondered upon:
Dyer's. Check it out. Since 1912!
Deep fried Burgers Y'all!

They have been using the same grease
since 1912! No Lie. They actually
lock up the grease every night.
You can read about it here.
It's a really neat story.

Ground Zero Club.
Owned by Morgan Freeman.
We went in to look around.
I would love to go back and
hang out here for the night.
They have an outside eating area in the
back plus a live band room. Looked really fun.

And of course. Elvis. It is Memphis.
That's it for now. I will have one more post about our trip but
it will be short. Okay. I'm spent. So I'm going to bed....probably. :)

Looks like a great time! So, did you actually eat a burger deep fried in 98 year old grease??? If so, how was it??? I may not be able to sleep until I know the answer! :)
