summer reading

I've been reading under my front porch ferns.

While Tanner is napping and the others are playing in the yard.
Early in the morning. That's my favorite. But it doesn't always happen. I usually don't wake until I hear the click of the tv or little feet running around on the hardwoods. But I do love reading.
The Help was an awesome book that I recently finished.
I am now reading this...
I picked up at Goodwill. I feel like I am at a decision point in my life. A time to discover....something new.  We'll see. I've had some ideas in my head for awhile.  Here's a quote from the book that I love and read over and over and then read it to Mark. Apparently it did hit him like it did me...but it's the life I want to live.

"The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

mmmmm...love that.
This one is on my list next.
Remember Emma's Summer Bucket List?
Her #1 was Read 100 books.
She has a good start. She is on #33, I think.
She enjoys reading to her little brothers.
I am so proud of her.

Are you reading?
